Mohammed Ali — known across his communities as Mr Ali — is a long-standing east Birmingham community organiser, broadcaster and youth-sport founder. Born and rooted in the neighbourhoods he serves, his work spans the Alum Rock Community Forum, JABS B8 FC and Aap Ki Awaaz Radio Birmingham.
By day a senior healthcare professional, by evening and weekend a tireless advocate — Mr Ali is the kind of leader who turns up: at the hustings, at the youth club, at the hospital fundraiser, and on the doorsteps of Hodge Hill, Bromford and Ward End.
